PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS DATABASE

This database presentation is meant to assist the reader of “Interred With Their Bones” in making further inquiries into individual aspects of interest in the book.  It might be the goal of some readers to explore in more detail possible relatives or ancestors and thereby glean genealogical or family history facts and stories from the sources I have used.  It may be that others want to know more about the different towns, places and events mentioned in the book.  As well, this research database may enlighten further the casual reader about unrelated topics such as details in some of the newspapers of the day, the Dixie Jubilee Singers or the Chinese in B.C.  All of the information was assembled by the writer as background for the book, or was actually used in the book itself.  It is hoped that by offering these details and minutiae of the world of 100 years ago in British Columbia it will stimulate research into local and family history, as well as the history of our province as a whole.

Unfortunately, in the interests of brevity and time, I was unable to trace all the family connections of the many individuals in my book.  Some of the families may be missing siblings, dates, or other pertinent data.
